Summary from Goodreads:
Moon Called by Patricia Briggs

Mercy Thompson’s life is not exactly normal. Her next-door neighbor is a werewolf. Her former boss is a gremlin. And she’s fixing a VW bus for a vampire. But then, Mercy Thompson is not exactly normal herself–she’s a shape-shifter.

My Thoughts:

The first time I picked up this book in 2009, I wasn’t expecting to love it so much. I grabbed it on a recommendation from an ex boyfriend, and wasn’t too sure that I would like it as much as he raved that I would.

I can say 3 years later that I love it now just as much as I did the first time I read it. Mercy is a great heroine. She goes against the grain of everything that you normally see with female lead characters and it really works in these books. She never really is the damsel in distress that you except her to be, even when she  is hunting down murders and kidnappers.

I love how the supporting characters are introduced, and how they only add to my love of the series. Jesse is a great addition to the book even though she is human. The tension between Adam and Mercy is great and you can almost feel what she feels around him.
