Balance Bar mini energy bars #review & #giveaway (9/23) US

The kids are big snackers once they come in from school, most of the time they end up dragging their feet and don't really want to do anything besides sit around and watch tv. We do not have a ton of sweets in the house, so the Balance Bar mini energy bars came in really handy after this week of waking up at 6 am and sitting in school all day. Mom loves that each bar is only 100 calories and that the kids are getting a good amount of vitamins without all the sugary sweetness of most snacks. The kids loved the flavors, Quint will only eat the double chocolate brownie; Sassy and Harm LOVED the Cookie Dough, said that it tastes just like a cookie.

The kids did seem like they had more energy and did not drag their feet this weekend, they have been out enjoying the cooler weather, we finally dropped out of the 80-90's! Instead of asking for chips or something equally junky, they are requesting I give them the "yummy snack" as they call the mini energy bars. I only got to taste one and while I was expecting a different taste, the Cookie Dough tasted almost just like the cookie dough I used to eat when I was younger, and it was safer to eat it out of the package. You get a burst of flavor as soon as you bite into one of these little bars and there is no weird aftertaste like some other energy bars we have tried. We ended up going to the Balance bar website and downloaded a $1.00 off coupon ( scroll to the bottom of the page to get your own) so that the kids could take their "yummy snack" in their lunch next week.

Each 100-calorie mini energy bar contains seven grams of protein and 23 vitamins and minerals with an excellent source of antioxidants (vitamins A, C & E).
