Summary from Goodreads:
Moon Called by Patricia Briggs

Mercy Thompson's life is not exactly normal. Her next-door neighbor is a werewolf. Her former boss is a gremlin. And she's fixing a VW bus for a vampire. But then, Mercy Thompson is not exactly normal herself--she's a shape-shifter.

My Thoughts:

The first time I picked up this book in 2009, I wasn't expecting to love it so much. I grabbed it on a recommendation from an ex boyfriend, and wasn't too sure that I would like it as much as he raved that I would.

I can say 3 years later that I love it now just as much as I did the first time I read it. Mercy is a great heroine. She goes against the grain of everything that you normally see with female lead characters and it really works in these books. She never really is the damsel in distress that you except her to be, even when she  is hunting down murders and kidnappers.

I love how the supporting characters are introduced, and how they only add to my love of the series. Jesse is a great addition to the book even though she is human. The tension between Adam and Mercy is great and you can almost feel what she feels around him.

My Rating:

*New* S'mores Balance Bar review & #giveaway (OVER) US

Balance Bar Logo

The kids and the hubby are always wanting chocolate bars. I used to buy another brand, but the kids started not to like them. So when given the chance to try out the new Balance Bar S'mores I was more than excited!
We received a full box (15ct) to test out and give our honest review.

I was expecting the Balance Bar S'mores to taste like most of the other nutrition bars out there, but I was pleasantly surprised! The chocolate coating is soft and causes no problems biting into it. The marshmallow layer is light and fluffy and the graham cracker layer was Delicious! There was no nasty aftertaste like I have experienced with other bars.

The kiddos all loved the bars and asked for more right after finishing the one they tested. Harm loved the graham cracker taste, Sassy the marshmallow and of course Quint loved it all!! I am so happy to find something that is great tasting and GOOD for them!!
The hubby was excited by the true S'more flavor, he loves them, but it has been WAY to hot to actually make them and this satisfies his craving!
