Aunt

This guest post from Lewis Beck

I told my aunt to visit homealarmsystems.com to check into getting an alarm system installed in her house like I have in mine. My aunt is in her late seventies and her husband recently died. They were married for over fifty years and were a great match. She is having trouble sleeping at night since he passed away. She says that she will get used to sleeping alone. She says that every creak and bump wakes her up. I suggested that she get an alarm system. I do think that it will make her feel safer. Just knowing that if someone does break in that an alarm will go off that calls the police should make her feel better and sleep a little easier. I also suggested that she leave the alarm on armed when she is at home alone. I always keep my alarm when I am at home alone, even during the day. I hate to be such a fraidy-cat, but you never know today. I would much rather be safe than sorry!

Juliet Immortal cover

"These violent delights have violent ends And in their triumph die, like fire and powder,
Which as they kiss consume."
—Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare

The most tragic love story in history . . .

Juliet Capulet didn't take her own life. She was murdered by the person she trusted most, her new husband, Romeo Montague, a sacrifice made to ensure his own immortality. But what Romeo didn't anticipate was that Juliet would be granted eternity, as well, and would become an agent for the Ambassadors of Light. For 700 years, she's fought Romeo for the souls of true lovers, struggling to preserve romantic love and the lives of the innocent. Until the day she meets someone she's forbidden to love, and Romeo, oh Romeo, will do everything in his power to destroy that love.

My Thoughts:
This book is a wonderful take on the old Romeo and Juliet story with a great paranormal/supernatural twist.

The story takes place in modern times, and while I was thinking maybe it would be a knock off of R & J, I soon realized that it really wasn't. Romeo and Juliet are both in the story in modern times and while it technically isn't them it is their souls and it makes for a wonderful read. I was a little confused at first and would love more of a look at the Mercenaries and the Ambassador's, but everything was pretty cut and dry in the explanation of both entities.
I wasn't too happy with the ending of the book and would love to see this made into a series, as I would love to go a little farther with Juliet's ending and I NEED to know what goes on with Romeo...
All in all this is a book I am happy to keep on my e-reader and read again.
